🌟 Healing begins with a mindset shift.

🌟 Healing begins with a mindset shift.

It's about recognising that your current lifestyle isn't serving your health, and you're determined to make a change.

Healing isn't a short-term fix where you diet, hit the gym, and detox for a week or two. It's a long-term commitment to transform your life for the better. It requires discipline, effort, and a genuine desire for change. Your daily routine, diet, eating habits, and lifestyle will all undergo a transformation.

Healing goes beyond addressing physical issues; it's a holistic journey that involves tackling the root causes of illness, be it unhealthy habits, negative thinking patterns, or lifestyle choices.

So, ask yourself: Are you ready to let go of what's making you unwell? Are you prepared for a healthier, happier you?

I was ready to give it a try. After all, I tried going down the medication route, which not only made my symptoms worse but also added a number of other stomach and gut issues.

🙋‍♀️So, I started from scratch.

Healing involves changing your eating habits—what you eat, when, and how—as well as changing your lifestyle.

But what really made a difference was:

  • Managing daily stress and anxiety
  • Cutting out all sugar, including my beloved cakes
  • Stopping drinking
  • Reducing my coffee intake to one cup a day with food
  • Eating regularly throughout the day
  • Adopting eating habits like having smaller portions, chewing my food, and taking my time
  • Eating only home-cooked food
  • Avoiding spices like salt, pepper, chili, vinegar, etc., and opting for bland food
  • Avoiding fried food and opting for boiled or oven-prepared dishes
  • Avoiding food 3-4 hours before bedtime
  • Ensuring a good night’s sleep of 8 hours
  • Setting boundaries
  • Removing myself from negative people

🙏 At the same time, I like to give a shout-out to healthcare professionals, practitioners, and those on personal health journeys. It's crucial to emphasize empowerment and informed decision-making. True healing doesn't merely target symptoms; it addresses the fundamental causes, encourages healthier lifestyles, and requires a willingness to embrace positive transformations for enduring health.

You simply can't heal when only treating one part of the body and not finding and addressing the root cause. The body has to be seen as a whole and not just as a fragment.

💚 Only when we start to do this can we normalise that food can heal as much as it can make us sick. And when we remove the food that makes us sick, we can start to heal and live a healthier and happier life.
